1 Night Stand

I met a girl in a bar last night
and I almost got into a fight
the guy was big and mean and tough
I knew if it happened it could get rough

I turned back to the girl, who was quite amused
and when I suggested we leave, she did not refuse
it seems being big and bad, doing the Steven Segal Charade
will rarely be of any help, when it comes to getting laid

I invited her home "for breakfast" I said
but we both knew we'd go straight to bed
when we got to the house, it was a mess
    "I wasn't expecting company" I confessed

she exclaimed over my lack of furniture
and toured the rooms that wear my signature
she drew conclusions from what she saw
looking for my character like a diamonds flaw

we talked for a while of love and life
and the words ran out about 2:35
then, lacking anything better to do
I kissed her lips and her eyelids too

we made out in the kitchen
we made out on the floor
I carried her to the bedroom
    so she wouldn't get sore

she told me it was too hot in there
I opened the window to let in some air
the kisses became passioned, the clothing flew
we proceeded to do what our bodies told us to do

she was loud as a siren, she whooped, wailed, and exclaimed
and the window was open, as I already explained
over her noises I heard the sound of my neighbors car doors
all coming home from the bar (it was now just past four)

I grinned to myself as I realized the truth
they could surely hear us and were grinning with mirth
    I wasn't embarrassed, I wasn't distraught
we were not in high school, we weren't going to "get caught"

when the passion was spent, and we lay quiet again
with the night breeze playing easy over our naked skin
with the smell of our bodies laying thick in the air
I marvelled at the events that led to this affair

we lay there for a while, feeling that things had gone all right
she said she ought to go now, it was starting to get light
she drove me back to my car where we had started all this fun
and then she said goodbye and drove into the rising sun
